Last November, we learned that a fire devastated the AKM manufacturing facility in Japan, shutting it down and grinding production to a halt. Thankfully, none of AKM’s employees were hurt. AKM is working hard to bring their facility back online, but we still don’t have an exact date as to when that will be.

Since news of the fire broke out, sales of products carrying AKM’s chips have skyrocketed, resulting in a complete sell-through of the popular TOPPING D90 DAC.
