What Makes It Special
- $25 for an dual driver IEM with a mic & detachable cables that sounds good is frankly almost unbelievable
- Dual dynamic and balanced-armature driver unit with a good sound stage, excellent sound reproduction, and tuning with an emphasized bass (again two drivers for $25)
- Detachable MMCX cable with built-in Mic allowing you to take calls and replace the cable if it breaks
Our Thoughts
It is sometimes ridiculous what you can get for the price nowadays but that's the advantage of finding gems from brands that are not well known. Some of the features are, given the price, almost hilariously unnecessary (but appreciated) such as a detachable cable. Heck, there are MMCX cables that are more expensive than the BD005 and that's not even talking about the fact that the included cables has a mic with a call pickup/hangup button. Sound-wise, the BD005 sounds great for the price and definitely beats many of the more expensive options from "bigger and famous" brands.
For the price, it's almost insane what you are getting. Are these going to be the best IEMs you are ever going to hear? No and there will be people, for sure, who will compare the BD005 to a $50 or $100 IEM and point out that it may sound worse forgetting that the comparisons are double or triple the price. If you need an entry-level IEM, or a beater IEM that you aren't worried about breaking/losing/etc., this is a great choice.
